The positives of South Central are that everyone gets along in the communities. In mostly every corner you see in the ommunity theres a place you can buy food at. Also there are many schools you can attend and that they care about your education. There are many places you can go to and distract yourself at. The negatives are that there’s to many gangs in the community affecting young children. Also there is to much trash and homeless people living in our communities. The drugs and crimes are very high in the community also. People are scared to leave there house after a certain hour for the fear of being attacked or being jacked because of the economy problems. The three events that have had the greatest impact are Watts Riots, Gang History, and Immigration.

The first event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is Watts Riots. In this event the peole of Watts for seeing the brutality agaisnt Black people in the community. The people wanted to prove a point to the commnity also that they were as equal as the other people in the more diverse groups of the city. The impact this event had was that Locke High School was built after this the Martin Luther King Jr Medical Center was built, and Los Angeles Southwest College was built also. Many of the  white population around the area of South Central moved out to the Suburbs because they were scared by the Riots. It changed South Central in the way that many great things were built in the community after these events took place. The population diversity dropped. Most immigrants began to move into the rural areas of South Central.

The second event tht had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is  gang history. In this event many gangs arised in the early 1900s. They arised to protect the people from white gangs around the areas of South Central. The gangs ere not very violent at first but after the Black Panthers and the Brown Berrets were broken apart they began to figh againts each other. Also when the white gangs began to leave since there was no one to fight they began to fight each other. Many of the people living in the areas of the gangs suffered from all the violence. Innocent peole were killed due to this problem that still exist in our communtiy at this present day. Teh impact this had was that many gangs were created afer these gangs began and alot of the violence is still going on in the communities of South Central today. It changed South Central in the way that more violence happened in these area because of all the gang in the area.

Th thrd event that had a great impact on making South Central what it is today is The Crack Epedemic. This event occured in the late 1970s. The US government was bringing in the crack cocaine from South America and was sold to people in the Ghettos to support the war in Nicaragua. Most people became addicted to this and families were broke apart. Most people lost their jobs and began to have problems in their communities. They turned to drug dealing to support their families. Most young Brown and Black Males were incarcerated for being involved in the crack buissness. Families lost their fathers or mothers or bth parents because of addiction to crack cocaine or any other drug. The impact this had was that many people lost their jobs. Most of the people got involved in seling drugs due to the high addiction of drugs in the community. Also most people got kiled or died from using crack cocaine. This changed South Central in the way that people got addicted and the drug use rate increased and is still affecting some families.

These were the three most important events in the history of South Central because they hd the greatest impact on the community. Also these events helped shape South Central and make it what it is today. The events helped set a lifestyle for some people in South Central. I think South Central will change very much in the future. I beleive that all the gangs in the community will dissapear. The people in the community will not be afraid of living here. Also the people in the community might help kep South La clean and healthy. The community might be free of graffiti. I believe we can all make a change to this envorment we have in our community.

We do not anticipate, and we do not want, that any individuals should forget the land of their origin or their ancestors. Let them look to the past, but let them also look to the future; let them look to the land of their ancestors, but let them look also to the land of their children.”

I had the habit of taking a shower three times a day. Also I had a habit of washng my hands every time I touched something. It did not serve the purpose of anything. It was a very bad habit. It helps me out. Yes I want the habit to break because I take all those showers I am wasting lots of showers and I am not helping the enviorment.

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way.The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you wont. Its whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction,or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere. Barack Obama
